Well, we are about set to go. We have planned, schemed, shopped and you can add any more descriptors you can think of and we did them to prepare and plan for an adventure of a lifetime. Jane was fortunate enough to spend a winter semester in England during her college days and wanted to return at some point and take me with her (although, we will not be going to England). I have always been up for an adventure in travel so this seemed like a great opportunity to make it happen. Thanks to all the set up time spent by Paul over the last year to prearrange all the many details, we are a go and with passports in hand ready to set off for Ireland.
Our travels will include flying from Chicago to Philly and then on across the pond to Dublin Ireland. We will promptly set foot on a tour bus and follow our, yet to be determined, fearless tour guide leader all over the Irish country side. That tour will also take us deep into the Scottish countryside as well. After an adventure of castle and meadow we will jump on a smaller plane to arrive at Charles de Gall airport where we will grab a rental car to pursue our adventure, on only four wheels, north west from Paris to Normandy and the beach towns nearby. Both Paul and I have always wanted to visit the historical areas around Normandy but I actually doubted that I would ever do it.
I hope you follow our journey through this blog and don't get too bored with our ranting and raving as I am sure we are about to make many memories. This blog will hopefully serve a couple of goals. One is to allow our family and friends to peek into our trip and the other is to create a resource in which to preserve our memories for years to come.
Posts will be added by any and all of us so buckle up and here we go!
